Our ambition is to create Something Better for the world?s smokers through a wide portfolio of scientifically substantiated Next Generation Products (NGPs), which include the global e-vapour brand blu.The Role:BristolPermanent, Full TimeCompetitive Salary + BenefitsThe role of Group Science and Regulatory Affairs is to lead the development and delivery of successful scientific & regulatory strategies to advance Imperial?s commercial objectives, ensure appropriate standards of product safety, and regulatory compliance with technical product regulation.As the SRHR Business Support Executive you will support the Head of Scientific Research & Harm Reduction (SRHR) and the wider team with operational planning, implementation and maintenance of business and process related activities enabling the SRHR team to deliver programmes effectively and efficiently.Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide operational support to the Head of Scientific Research & Harm Reduction
  • Identify third party supplies (such as CROs) and manage the procurement and qualification process, in conjunction with Group Procurement, to ensure the correct contracts are set up. Maintain contracts and relationships with third parties.
  • Manage the financial spend of the department. This will include raising investment applications and invoicing, SRM & Basware purchase ordering and budget tracking of projects.
  • Coordinate activities to monitor and ensure all testing is completed. In conjunction with Development Manager, drive reporting template of the department?s scientific research against the Scientific Assessment Framework.
  • Organise monthly SRHR Team DRG meetings - formulate agenda and ensure subsequent actions are achieved. Also support driving agenda and follow up actions between SRHR and Strategic Science & Policy Engagement.
  • Manage engagement programmes within SRHR to ensure alignment, support and coordination thus continuing to promote positive behaviours in SRHR. Collate inputs for SRHR Lean Dashboard and drive lean philosophy and mindset in SRHR.
  • Co-ordinate the direction of the department to build specific capabilities within the department via management of related projects (e.g. Technical Specialist Career Framework) and work with relevant stakeholders to oversee the creation and implementation of tailored learning programmes for technical capabilities.
  • Drive recruitment activities, supporting people managers with new recruits and be the main conduit with Talent Acquisition and HR. Support inductions of new recruits and integration of members coming into the department.
  • Support the delivery of ad hoc projects for the Head of SRHR.
  • Skills and Experience:Essential
  • Strong relationship building skills and ability to foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to understand priorities and manage workflow and communications accordingly.
  • Analytical, structured and process-oriented ability of thinking.
  • Previous proven experience in a Business Administration/Executive role.
  • Strong communication skills as well as high level of flexibility, proactivity and responsiveness.
  • Confident handling of competing priorities.

  • Graduate/post-graduate in scientific discipline or Business.
  • SRM & Basware system knowledge.
