Job Description

Job Title: Business Operations ManagerLocation: Bristol or Plymouth - Flexible, with regular visits to our offices in both locationsCompensation: £45,000 - £55,000Role Type: Full time Role ID: SF 49854At Babcock were working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Business Operations Manager in our Sense and Connect line of business.The roleAs a Business Operations Manager youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. The purpose of this role is to support the Head of Operations with the day to day running of business operations.Day to day, youll lead on and manage the delivery of a broad range of business activities

  • Leadership - Providing relevant support to our wider Sense & Connect Business Support/administration team, noting these personnel are located world-wide.
  • Business Planning - Collaborating with the Sense & Connect management team to support integrated business planning, identifying the long-term business resource demand requirement in support of workforce resourcing within matrix organisation. Collating andsupporting business continuity and strategic workforce plans.
  • Service Delivery - Effectively support delivery of products and services through navigating complexity and ambiguity, managing relevant projects ensuring they are completed to time, cost and quality requirements.
  • Communications & Reporting - Responsible for implementing internal and external communications activities aligned with wider Mission Systems and Babcock communications plans.
Essential experience of the Business Operations Manager
  • Someone who naturally relishes collaboration and working in partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders, and with people from apprentices to senior management
  • A person who is adaptable and self-confident in navigating uncertainty, ambiguity and complexity in order to deliver continuous improvement.
  • Youll have proven comprehensive experience in business operations
  • Experience within a commercial/private industry or business, defence or project management environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication and work planning skills, with experience of briefing senior management - communicating complex issues and proposed solutions in simple terms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat and other office productivity tools.
  • This role provides hybrid working arrangements with a mix of office and home working. You will be based from one of our offices in either Bristol or Plymouth, with expectation of regular travel to both of these offices.
Qualifications for the Business Operations Manager
  • Desirable to have a relevant degree or equivalent business experience
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.Our Benefits
