Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager in our Lubricants team at Certas Energy. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential and existing customers andwe will offer an highly competitive salary for this opportunity. The role of Business Development Manager covers the Southern region of the UK.You should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact through to completion. You will also ensureexcellent ongoing after-sales service.If you are motivated and results-driven, and enjoy working in a team environment, wed like to meet you. Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth strategy.As a Business Development Manager your core responsibilities will include:

  • Developing new products and service offers, including detailed market strategies and pricing plans
  • Pitching products and services to new customers and offering new services to existing customers
  • Researching businesses, individuals and industry trends to identify potential new clients and markets and ways to serve existing clients better
  • Preparing product pitches and making presentations to prospective customers
  • Collaborating with the sales and marketing teams to identify more effective marketing strategies
  • Maintaining Customer and other business stakeholder relationships
  • Collaborating with the Technical and operations teams to ensure that contracted product and service specifications are executed on time and as agreed
  • Attending networking opportunities including conferences and industry events
A successful candidate you will have the following skills and qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of business management principles
  • Relationship management skills
  • Market research and strategic planning
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages and CRM systems
  • Numeracy and mathematical skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
You will ideally have one to two years of experience on the job. In lubricants or a related industry. This experience can be acquired through an internship or apprenticeship.
