World Class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage and Bristol is currently looking to recruit a Bid Manager subcontractor on an initial 12 month contract. The role will likely be a mixture of being based from Bristol or Stevenage for 2 days a weekand then remotely for the rest.This role would suit an experienced and proven Bid Manager in the defence or aerospace industry, ideally with a large prime contractor, or with equivalent experience working in UK MOD itselfContract Duration: 12 Months initially and then ongoing.Hourly Rate: £100.00ph (Umbrella)Security Information: Please Note you must be eligible for SC Security Clearance (unfortunately due to security restrictions for this role, the candidate will need to be a British National with no dual nationality and must have resided in theUK for at least 4 of the past 5 years).Bid Manager An opportunity to work with a highly professional team putting together a complex and challenging bid for the next phase of in service support of a portfolio of complex missile based systems operated by the UK Armed Forces.MBDA UK is the prime contractor for this work and needs to agree with the customer, Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S), the technical, commercial and financial basis of an innovative and value for money contract spanning a minimum of 5 years and up to 10 yearsin duration.The missile and weapon systems involved include those currently used by the Royal Navy, the British Army and the Royal Air Force with, collectively, an estimated in-service support value of hundreds of £ millions.Responsibilities:The contribution of the Bid Manager will be particularly crucial during the early to middle stages of this RTC programme.
