Job Description

Bid Engineer / Estimator Bristol £45k to £55k p.a. + benefits d.o.e.Exciting opportunity for experienced Bid Engineer / Estimator to be part of the renewable energy industry as successful & employee-owned Bristol based high voltage engineering company continues to grow and build on success.The RoleAs Bid Engineer / HV Estimator you will manage the full life cycle of tender enquiries from initial enquiry, through to negotiations, contract award and handover to electrical engineering projects teams. Responsibilities will include:

  • developing strong understanding of clients commercial & technical requirements
  • production / delivery of high-quality and technical bid documentation
  • setting out and build-up of tender costings
  • building strong, sub-contractor, and supplier relationships
  • site surveys, and attendance at pre-tender / post tender / pre-order meetings
  • regular progress reporting

You will also have:
  • good technical / commercial knowledge
  • ability to interpret complex documents, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • excellent organisational & time management skills
  • sound judgment / good financial sense / strong negotiation skills
  • excellent report writing skills / ability to communicate information clearly & concisely
  • knowledge of High Voltage systems would advantageous, as would APMP UK bid/proposal certification.
