BI Developer / £40,000 - £50,000 DOE / Hydrid role working from Bristol office & home Flexible working core hours between 10am4pm Monday to FridayThe CompanyA rapidly expanding and well-established inspirational software development company based in Bristol.The job:The successful candidate will explore data to create and discover new and efficient ways to implement database models and systems. As market leaders in the provision of various software solutions in their core market, you will be pivotal in designing, buildingand maintaining company database systems, including data warehouses; and in upholding the quality standard required by the business and its clients.Key responsibilities:Extract and analyse data and through different perspectives, models, trends, statistics and complex data; identify problems and opportunities.Work with the management team to design and develop database applications which solve business challenges.Assist in the migration of data from old to new database applications and any associated tasks Identify risks and challenges, providing solutions to the management team and solve problems and identify issues and risks in addition to troubleshooting, issue resolutionand technical advice.Identify and communicate insight findings to develop data management strategy, process and projectsDocument, implement, monitor, and enforce all database processes as per the standards defined by the organisation. Additionally, ensure content and structure of all documents, artifacts and processes is documented and maintained.Manage and maintain deployment, configuration, and setup methodologiesWork with internal and external clients to make sure deployed applications are efficient and effective. Engage and collaborate with the project team and key stakeholders. Work with Business Analysts to identify user requirements and specifications.Hold a high standard of quality throughout a project process.Report on project progress and dependencies to the Project Manager and Technical Director to ensure the timely delivery of different milestones.The Person:High attention to detail and a critical thinker with well-developed organisational and planning skills.Flexible and pragmatic in approach with excellent literacy, analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience / qualifications / EssentialUniversity education or equivalent industry experienceHands on experience using Python, MSSQL and SSIS, designing and creating ETLsExtensive experience in a similar role and industryDemonstrable experience delivering quality on products in a medium to large sized business and in statistical analysis.
