Job Description

My client is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join their well-established company just outside of Bristol.The role will be responsible for creating and managing the BI and analytics solutions. This will include designing, developing, and maintaining solutions, developing and supporting the development of reports and data visualisation.The company is offering a competitive salary between £40,000 - £50,000.Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support data analytics platforms (e.g. PowerBI)
  • Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools)
  • Create tools to store data
  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
  • Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
  • Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
  • Create visualisations and reports for requested projects
  • Develop and update technical documentation.
  • Translate business needs to technical specifications
    • Skills Required
  • Previous experience working as a BI Developer
  • Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining
  • In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
  • Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI or similar)
  • Knowledge of SQL queries,
  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Preferably - BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
  • Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
  • Comfortable implementing business procedures
