Locality Pharmacist- Prisons We are the leading provider of healthcare in five regional prisons. We work in partnership, with GPs, dentists, nurses, and mental health professionals to support and encourage service users to take ownership of their health.If you would like the opportunity to join a forward thinking and well thought of pharmacy team, with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of offender healthcare, then read on.We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and forward-thinking pharmacist to join our small and friendly team of pharmacy staff at HMP Bristol, the medicines services across the 5 sites whilst working as part of an integrated health service in a challenging and interesting environment.Across all five sites youll help our patients and staff by offering medicines information, prescribing support, pharmacist lead clinics and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.In your work, you will support the Head of Offender Health and Lead Pharmacist by participating in service delivery initiatives, the development and achievement of action plans and if appropriate, developing an interest in a clinical area. You shall support the wider AWP team with medicines information and prescribing support advice.For further details, please see the attached Role Profile/Job Description.HMP Bristol is a Category B adult male prison catering for men who are either convicted or on remand. The majority of prisoners are serving sentences of less than 12 months. The prison is located in the north of Bristol in Horfield just off Gloucester Road.Working primarily at this site, alongside an experienced team of 5 other Pharmacists, youll also be working with a range of clinical teams and prescribers across our other 4 AWP prisons in the region.
