Job Description

Azure DevOps Engineer - Permanent Location(s): Cheltenham/BristolType: HybridSalary: Competitive (Based on skillset/experience)Clearance: Must be able to attain SC & DV levels of security clearance.This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist software consultancy proving bespoke solutions to complex problems. Youll be joining their mission to support government departments in using information intelligently to make mission critical decisionsand advance the security, sustainability and prosperity of the UKThey are looking to bring in 3 Azure DevOps Engineers to join an existing team for a new project, building from scratch an Azure platform for a secure client.Candidates from both an Infrastructure & Software backgrounds are welcome to apply and can add real value to this project.Responsibilities You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and quality assurance engineers, to ensurethe seamless delivery of our software solutions. Your expertise in Azure infrastructure, automation, and release management will be essential in optimising our development and deployment processes.Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including Azure DevOps, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab.
  • Solid understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and experience with branching strategies and code merging.
  • Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, or ELK Stack.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
