Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a Town Planning and Development Consultancy that operates throughout the UK on the hire of an Associate Town Planner to join their team in Bristol.The company is trusted by many clients, straddling multiple sectors for over three decades. Join this company and provide advice to a range of clients across the public and private sectors, planning for all types of development, and in particular Housing,Affordable Housing, Care/Older Persons Accommodation, and Custom/Self-Build Housing.In this role you will work on strategic land promotion, planning policy advice and representations, planning appraisals, planning applications, planning appeals/expert witness, planning enforcement, community engagement, EIA & SEA, monitoring and housingneeds assessments.In order to apply, you should hold an RTPI-accredited degree and/or Masters and MRTPI status. You should have previous planning experience commensurate to a Senior / Principal or Associate Town Planner (Private sector experience essential). You will be agood communicator with good client liaison & negotiation skills. My client is looking for someone who has an eye for detail, is driven, hard-working with strong report writing skills. Naturally, you should have an understanding of the UK planning system andbe commercially minded.
