Job Description

SW8 -Assistant Project ManagerLocation -Bristol / BasingstokeSalary -Up to £25,000 per annum, Pension and bonus scheme with Private Health benefitsOverview:First Military Recruitment is working with our leading and one of the largest SPV and Asset Management service providers to the PPP / PFI infrastructure market to recruit an Assistant Project Manager.You will join our client Assistant Project Manager, on a permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week. The role provides an opportunity to join our clients team of multi-disciplinary construction and estates professionals serving industry wide PFI / PPP projects across all infrastructure sectors.Summary:

  • To assist in the delivery of life-cycle refurbishment & variation projects across various PFI special purpose companies (SPC)
  • Co-ordinate project design / professional team surveys and tender information
  • Deliver efficient, safe and value-for-money solutions to a variety of facilities in the education and healthcare sectors
  • Assist in providing programming support to effectively plan and deliver multiple construction schemes
  • Contribute to establishing robust processes and systems to allow the expansion of the Project Management function
  • Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the delivery of lifecycle and variation schemes across various project companies within the Imagile Infrastructure portfolio and future external clients
  • Provide a consistently high quality of service to projects
  • Assist in procuring schemes efficiently to provide value-for money
  • Provide a consistently high quality of service
  • Closely work with;
    1. Lifecycle planning department
    2. Procurement function
    3. Operational / Faculties Management functions
    4. Senior management
  • Work with multiple project stakeholders under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager
  • Interface with professional / design teams
  • Provide support on project validations, feasibilities and scope determination
  • Assist in the co-ordination and issue of tender documentation
  • Assist in the production and execution of various forms of contract documentation; JCT D&B, Framework call-off, etc
  • Assist in the undertaking of contract administration, management and works monitoring
  • Provide post-project feedback to the wider team to aid continual improvement / lessons learnt
  • Assist in the development and use of effective project management documents and regularly audit process
  • Undertake such other duties as may reasonably be determined as commensurate with the grade of the post
  • Person Specification:Essential-
  • Proven competence either via degree level qualification in a Building Surveying / Engineering discipline or significant related experience
  • Working towards chartered status through any of: MRICS / MCIOB / MAPM / MCIBSE
  • Minimum 1 years post graduate experience working in the construction industry
  • Demonstrable experience of refurbishment projects
  • Knowledge of modern construction methods, Building Regulations, Building Bulletin, HTM / HBN, planning consents, and listed buildings
  • Experience of delivering fit-out / refurbishment projects in occupied facilities
  • Committed to the programme of continual improvement
