REED Financial Services are representing a leading national banking and Wealth management firm who have an opportunity in their central Bristol office for an experienced IFA support professional to join their Assistant Paraplanning team as an AssistantManager. This is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking to develop your skills more technically and have an interest in progressing to leadership and gain more technical exposure.OVERALL SUMMARYSupport the Manager in the day to day running of the Central Assistant Paraplanning Team (CAPT).RESPONSIBILITIES• Obtain information on existing policies; this will include issuing a Letter of Authority, chasing up providers regularly and obtaining the information either online, over the telephone or in writing.• Produce new business illustrations, using either our own or 3rd party software.• Prepare information/comparisons for analysis by the Paraplanner and Adviser. This will cover the use of Pulse, IMAGO, The Exchange and other financial planning software.• Request and obtain 3rd party application forms and other associated paperwork.• Ensure appropriate data is accurately recorded on Company back-office system(s) and updated in line with Company procedures.• Ensure adherence to Department’s and Company procedures and Department’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)/objectives.• Allocate work to the team when required, including updating relevant MI spreadsheets.• Take over the day to day responsibilities of running the team when the CAPT Manager is out of the office.• Liaising with the Paraplanning teams around to the country to ensure work is completed with efficiency and accuracy, providing feedback to Paraplanners and Assistant Paraplanners where necessary.• Be involved in improvement projects including testing.• Assist the CAPT Manager in the regular KPI / objective checking across the team and feeding back any remedial action or training requirements to the CAPT Manager.• Assist the CAPT Manager in training new starters, checking work and providing feedback.• Assist the CAPT Manager in ensuring all workflow procedures are following and kept up to date.• Continually strive to improve the overall efficiency and productivity within the AP team.Regulatory Responsibilities (Compliance/T&C)• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to the role, whilst practising effective risk management taking account of outcomes for clients.WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU / PLEASE APPLY IF:• Must be working towards or already have Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII).• Understanding of the Financial Planning process, including any Paraplanning department’s processes and procedures, and ensure that these are followed in all instances.• Ability to work within defined business processes and to achieve agreed outcomes without supervision.• Ability to multi-task and to prioritise and plan own workload.• Strong IT skills.• Good communication skills.• A “can do” approach.
