Job Description

Robert Half are exclusively partnering with an organisation that are seen as a leader within the automotive sector to recruit an Interim Assistant Financial Accounting Analyst on a 12 month fixed term contract.This is a massive opportunity to join a business which has recently acquired their largest competitor, a move that will bring challenge and opportunity as they integrate 2 market leading businesses.This position is essential as they look to bolster capacity within the financial accounting team in anticipation of an increased workload in the coming months.Salary: Up to £40,000 per annumStart date: ASAPDuration: 12 month contractWorking pattern: Hybrid working (Full time)Your responsibilities will include (but wont be limited too):

  • Produce regular reports and analysis to ensure compliance with the new Consumer Duty regulation set by the FCA.
  • Manage the audit process for Group reporting, including interim, hard close, and year-end audits.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Generate reports on financial results and key risk indicators for the Group
  • Assist in resolving any related queries.
  • Tax and VAT reporting.
  • Stay updated on financial regulations and accepted practices through continuous professional development.
  • Work with the broader Finance team on ad hoc project work.
Skills, Experience & Background
  • Minimum AAT Qualified
  • Competent user of Microsoft Excel (comfortable with pivot tables, nested formulas, key functions including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, IF, SUMIF, SUMPRODUCT etc.)
  • Experience in managing and communicating with a range of stakeholders
  • Appetite to further develop technical accounting and industry knowledge
