Brook Street are currently recruiting for a temporary Administrative Officer to work for a government client remote working from home X 2This is a temporary Role for 6 Months with possibility of an ExtensionThe roles are Remote working from homeThe role is full time hours, 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday 9.00-17.00Pay rate is £11.47 per hour-Paid weeklyThe successful candidate is to provide general administrative support to the Animal plant health Agency TeamThis role is in quite a fast-paced environment, but within a very rewarding and supportive team.To answer telephone queries, following up enquiries which cannot be immediately resolved. There is some processing and procedural work associated with the calls generated, including accurately noting the details of the call on a customers record, updatingdatabases and information systems, liaising with the public, veterinary and field officers producing paperwork, and following general administration processes and proceduresWorking collaboratively with remote teams across GB to support the delivery of the core function of the Business Unit in accordance with established time scales and performance targetsMain Dutieso Making calls to identified external customers to ascertain informationo Data input and maintenance of records,o Ensuring accurate records are kept and updated accordingly, data input using various IT systems in accordance with APHA Data procedureso To liaise with, and provide excellent customer service to Stakeholders, Delivery Partners and Customers, both internal and external, to understand and appreciate their needs and requirements, for example, liaising with farmers and local veterinary practicesto arrange tests. Some roles will involve arranging removal of diseased animals to an abattoir, liaising with farmers and their agent over compensation valuations and payments (TB operational Delivery roles only)o Is flexible to adapt to changing situations and responds with energy and commitment to take on additional tasks that may be outside the normal day to day dutiesThe job will/may include arranging the removal of diseased animals off farms to slaughterSkills and experience requiredo Well organisedo Positively responds to changeo Be able to self-manage & prioritise your own workloado Excellent attention to detailo Customer service focusedo Accuracy inputting data and collating/filing paperworkEssential:o Familiar with the use of basic Microsoft Packages (Outlook, Word, Excel)Desirable:o Previous experience of working in an office environmento Previous telephony experienceo Good IT skillsA DBS is required which is paid via Brookstreet.Interested Please apply!
