Job Title: Account Executive - B2B PRLocation: Bristol/hybrid WorkingSalary: Competitive rate depending on experienceAbout the companyAn exciting opportunity to join an incredible boutique PR agency, with office in Bristol and London. They work across an enviable range of clients, on genuinely exciting projects.About the roleThe Account Executive will get the opportunity to develop their career within PR, in a warm and supportive environment. You will be responsible for driving of results across your client accounts, through the execution of communication strategies and activitiesas set by your account manager and/or account lead. You are expected to have regular contact with key spokespeople and clients, acting as their "eyes and ears"; you must regularly demonstrate that you know their key media inside out and are always watchingthe news agenda.Primary responsibilities for the PR Account ExecutiveMedia relations

  • Establish contacts with media relevant to your clients industries and be proactive in identifying new contacts
  • Maintain strong relationships with the media and ensure that clients are front of mind by communicating with them on a regular basis by telephone and email
  • Meet with journalists on a monthly basis
  • Use journalist contacts to benefit clients by achieving coverage in target media
  • Utilise key skills such as negotiation to secure results with journalists
  • Keep abreast of the media agenda and flag newsjacking opps to team and client
  • Develop news angles and place stories in a cross section of print, broadcast and online media
  • Research journalists ahead of sell in to ensure the best approach to secure coverage
  • Take part in formal sell ins of news stories and features to the media.
Planning
  • Contribute to client planning by providing proactive ideas and contributing to team brainstorms
  • Take responsibility for ensuring you have a good understanding of the activity/KPIs outlined in the WIP or statement of work
  • Maintain features, awards, events and speaking trackers for all client accounts, flagging to the team and clients when relevant opportunities are coming up
Writing
  • Ensure emails to team and client are clear and communicate effectively
  • All copy should be presented to team with a right first time approach
  • Become competent in the primary forms of marketing-communications copywriting including news releases, case studies, articles and letter writing
  • Develop copy for clients social media accounts
  • Develop writing skills beyond the production of core PR content to include project proposals, presentations and wider forms of communication content
Creativity
  • Bring new ideas for story pitches and creative campaigns to internal teams and clients on a regular basis
  • Attend all brainstorms, working ahead of time to form preliminary ideas and build on those presented by others during the session
Client engagement
  • Build a strong understanding of your clients business, their competitors and the market in which they exist through regular research and reading of relevant titles
  • Establish and build relationships with direct client
  • Take an active role in weekly calls and monthly meetings whilst taking notes of all points/actions discussed for client and team
  • Responsible for developing daily news updates to clients (where appropriate)
  • Manage your own activity in accordance to the scope of work your Account Manager has set
  • New Business
  • Undertake research for new business proposals
  • Present to potential new clients
