Job Description

Production Manager£35,000 to £45,000 plus BenefitsBrierley HillManufacturingA manufacturing company are looking for a Production Manager to lead and manage the machine shop. You will have experience of working within a similar environment with strong leadership skills, ability to read engineering drawings and being hands on Manager.As a Production Manager your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of.

  • Reporting into the Managing Director, dealing with the every day issues with the production area.
  • Supervising a small team of highly skilled operators within a manual machine shop.
  • Co-ordinating with design engineering, purchasing, quality and assembly shop so everything is manufactured on time.
  • Managing the production schedules and allocation of work to manage capacity.
  • Ordering stock and managing materials.
  • Personnel management of the team.
  • Maintaining all working conditions and paperwork is in align with ISO 9001 and dealing with any external audits.
  • Producing production reports for the Senior Management team.
An exciting opportunity for a Production Manager with the following.
  • A hands on Manager/Supervisor with experience working within a machine shop.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, estimate machining times and scheduling of the machine shop.
  • Strong understanding of ISO9001 standards and dealing with audits.
  • Previous experience of using manual lathes, borers and millers.
  • Positive thinking and self-motivated individual with good communication skills
