Job Description

Finance Business PartnerAre you looking for a new challenge with an exciting and innovative Organisation Do you have a passion for financial analysis and planning We may have an opportunity which could be of interest to youWe are searching for a Finance Business Partner to support our Head of Prudential, Information and Planning in the ongoing development of the Societys planning model and information strategy. This role would include model building, the development of back-testing, stake holder engagement in the Societys planning process and margin reporting just to name a few.With this future facing role, you will be at the heart of our financial business decisions, partnering with our senior stake holders across the business. Working closely with the teams to ensure the development of cohesive and robust financial plans.Heres just a taster of your day today responsibilities

  • To embed and run the newly developed forecast process within the monthly BAU cycle and co-ordinating the stakeholder input.
  • To develop and run monthly Net Interest Margin variance analysis.
  • To be forward facing to deliver long term planning solutions including stress testing and corporate planning cycles.
  • Utilise the Forecast and Pricing models to influence Product decisions.
  • Reporting NIM and product level profitability outcomes to Proposition Committee.
  • Understanding of Interest Rate, Liquidity and Capital risks.
  • Your specialism in analytical documentation and reporting of financial data will provide contextual information to support business decisions.
  • Assist Head of Prudential, Information and Planning in the preparation of Societys ALCO pack.
  • Extension of the Societys ALM reporting to include forward risk metrics.
  • To be successful you will:
  • Be a qualified Accountant
  • Have strong analytical skills and be comfortable with manipulating large data sets
  • Have the ability to think outside of the box and solve business concerns
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Be self-motivating and able to work independently
  • Good communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Have an advanced level of Excel skills
  • Have a passion for personal development and career progression. Development and cross training across the wider Finance Team will occur in due course.
  • Experience in SQL or PowerBI is desirable for this role, but not essential
