We are currently recruiting for a Production Quality Manager to join us here at Sony UK Tec.You will be working as the Quality Manager for Sony UK Tec with the SMT department. You will lead a team of technical team players and be responsible to co-ordinate Quality data and improvements, identifying trends, conducting root cause investigations andimplementing counter measures.Ensuring both product and processes are compliant to the required specifications and standards. This role requires passion for delivering the highest level of quality to our customers, working with innovative and exciting technologies and a good understandingof the customers point of view. Your leadership skills will be used to co-ordinate meetings to resolve quality related issues, with representatives typically from the Engineering, Production and Supply Chain teams, as well as communicating and working closelywith customers at both new model stage and regular production.Specific Responsibilities: Leading quality improvement activities Data analysis to identify quality trends and improvement opportunities Monitoring of quality performance and control of non-compliance incidents Appraisal to identify root causes Market data analysis Countermeasure verification and implementation Co-ordinate Technical Investigations (of a wide variety of products) and review engineers reports In Process Quality Auditing (creation & control) Design of suitable end of line quality checksPerson QualitiesEssential Criteria HND level or equivalent in a technical discipline is anticipated, however other relevant experience or qualifications will be considered Full training is available to the right candidate Personal competency skills such as leadership, communication and decision making Self-motivated and a strong sense of responsibility Eagerness to develop new skills, and demonstrate flexibility in order to support the operation where required Confidence to communicate and present at all levels, both internally and externally Project leading a team of people Ability to solve complex problems, in a structured mannerDesirable Criteria: An understanding of the principles of Six Sigma analysis Good understanding of what makes a good process and be able to document
