Job Description

Management Accountant - Bridgend Hybrid working Salary £28,000 + Excellent BenefitsDo you have previous experience of working within a Management Accounting roleAre you conscientious, flexible and enjoy thinking outside of the boxAre you currently studying your ACCA/CIMA professional qualificationIf you have answered yes to the above, then I have an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding Not-For-Profit organisation based in the Bridgend area.The role has been newly created due to ambitious growth plans and as a result, they are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to come in and support the Head of Finance with the monthly management accounts pack and budgetary reviews. Working as partof a busy finance team, you will be required to report into the Head of Finance on day to day basis and oversee a small transactional team.Key responsibilities will include:1) Responsibility for the day to day line management of the transactional accounting team2) Over seeing the management of the balance sheets, ensuring accounts are reconciled monthly3) Production of the monthly management accounts pack in readiness for review by the senior management team4) Processing month end prepayments, accruals and journals5) Investigate all variances from budget and ensure prompt resolution6) Produce budgets and forecasts to set timescales7) Responsibility for the processing of the payroll journal and reconciling wage control accounts8) Ensuring debtors and creditors are monitored monthly by the team and transactions are actioned and kept up to date9) Fixed asset register10)Overseeing the expenses systemPersonal Specification:

  • ACCA/CIMA part-qualified and working towards completion of your qualification
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Previous experience within a similar role, busy and pressurised accounts team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Organised with strong coaching and mentoring abilities

This is an ever-changing environment; therefore, the successful applicant will be able to adapt and enjoy working in such a dynamic environment. The role will be hybrid working, ideally 2-3 daysin the office with the remainder working from home.
