Job Description

Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in the workplace We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Officer to join our clients team.

  • Salary: £22,938 - £25,454
  • Temp to Perm
  • Immediate start available
  • Flexible working
  • Holidays: 28 days plus Bank Holidays
What you will be doing:
  • Ensure the safety of apprentices and students at workplaces by monitoring and assessing health and safety arrangements.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to meet regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with placement coordinators and apprenticeship teams for placements and safety improvements.
  • Conduct regular checks and revisions of employer placements based on risk and official guidelines.
  • Assist in college safety audits, inspections, and the implementation of safety systems while meeting professional development requirements.
What do you need:
  • Experience vetting workplaces.
  • Familiarity with effective reporting.
  • Knowledge of general Health and Safety laws.
  • Previous experience in health, safety, and sustainability.
  • Understanding of safety audits.
  • Strong IT skills (GSuite, word processing, databases, and email).
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.
  • Self-reliant, flexible, and works well under pressure.
  • Proactive and promotes a safety-focused culture through communication.
