Job Description

Position: Finance Manager6-Month Fixed-Term ContractLocation: Remote Work with Occasional Travel to Head OfficeSalary: Up to £39,000 per annumClient Overview:We are currently seeking a proficient Finance Manager to join our client on a FTC basis, aiding their team during the implementation of a new Finance system.Role Overview:This temporary role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant or a part-qualified accountant with substantial experience to play a vital role within the team. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day financial operations whilefacilitating the seamless integration of the new Finance system.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in finalising the financial year-end accounts process, collaborating with external accountants for the annual audit.
  • Support the implementation of the new financial system by conducting system capability tests, creating mapping tables, and developing user training materials.
  • Evaluate the financial performance of business contracts and projects, conducting trend and variance analysis, and reconciling critical balance sheet accounts.
  • Generate timely and accurate information for periodic returns (e.g., ONS) to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the production of monthly management accounts.
  • Undertake additional tasks delegated by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability as needed.
  • Identify and propose process improvements, actively participating in enhancing procedures to support system implementation.
  • Collaborate with the wider management team and undertake any other duties as reasonably required.
Requirements:
  • Qualified, part-qualified, or QBE with relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience in financial accounting.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a remote team environment.
