Secretarial Assistant– Band 2 We are looking for a self-motivated, flexible, hardworking individual to become an integral part of a busy team within the Ophthalmology Department.Your duties will include audio typing of correspondence, scanning of correspondence, validation of clinic letters as well as contacting patients and providing admin support to patient booking colleagues. You will also deal with telephone enquiries and a variety of other clerical duties.You will need fast and accurate audio typing skills with either an audio typing qualification or recent experience (minimum RSA II or equivalent). Previous secretarial experience and experience of working with the general public and or professionals is essential. You must have good communication skills with patients and colleagues at all levels and a flexible approach to your work.The role of Secretarial Assistant/Audio Typist is interesting and varied and offers the opportunity to develop further.This post will be for 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
