Job Description

The ME-5 Pathology network is seeking a candidate with a strong background as a project manager, capable of taking over and developing the project management administrative function for the network on an interim basis. We are particularly interested in candidatesable to demonstrate skills in project tracking, risk, issue, learning and other tracker log administration, meeting organisation and administration, project diary management.Pathology Network Project ManagerLocation: Home based, with the occasional need to attend office for set meetings in PeterboroughJob Type: TemporaryDuration of booking: Expected to last up to 12 weeks initially, and likely to remain until 31 March 2023Proposed start date: ASAPSector: HealthcareBase: Homebase (and Hospital when required for meetings)Band: 7Pay Rates:***This must be paid through our clients direct engagement model and will be within IR35***£22.20 - £26.50 paye inclusive of holiday pay per hour depending on skill and experienceWorking Days and Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, 37.5 hoursHybrid Working: YesJob SummaryThe interim ME-5 Pathology Network Project Manager will provide support and project management for the ME-5 Pathology Network programme. This is a key priority for the Trusts involved and is being supported by a regional and national pathology network programmeteam. The post holder will support the development and delivery of the ME-5 Pathology Network. This will include working closely with stakeholders to develop and decide the form and future development of the pathology network, supporting development and planningevents, committees and domain leads in the network. The ME-5 Pathology Network interim Project Manager will work closely with the Network lead CMO, Clinical Lead and project manager to foster development of the network. The role will be responsible for supportingservice redesign and delivery of specific projects within the ME-5 Pathology Network, coordinating activities to facilitate the successful delivery of the ME-5 Pathology network objectives In addition to supporting network development planning the ProjectManager will support the delivery of supporting improvement or collaboration projects which have been approved by the Network Steering Group. This programme of work aims to make operational changes to improve cross-organisation working and remove the barriersto service optimisation. This role requires close partnership working with clinical leaders, the acute sector, community services, and managers from Integrated Care Systems. There may be occasional working with patient groups and other service users. It requiresthe ability to support the translation of a clinical vision into a coherent operational model and project delivery.

  • Project lead for ME-5 Pathology Network.
  • Programme and project management support to the ME-5 Pathology Network to enable delivery of specific priorities.
  • Project support to cross-organisational meetings including co-production and presentation of highly complex and sometimes contentious information to support decision making, and design of agendas to enable key decision making.
  • Support, facilitation and delivery of aims of the ME-5 Pathology Network.
  • Support, facilitation and delivery of integrated working collaboration and improvement projects.
  • Assurance that specified programmes of work are being delivered within budget and in accordance with the overall plan.
  • Work with the Network Director, Clinical Lead and key stakeholders within the ME-5 Pathology Network to identify viable opportunities to improve services and reduce costs.
  • Support the delivery of the ME-5 Pathology Network programme; ensuring projects are organised, managed and reported appropriately.
  • Share learning from elsewhere and provide knowledge to colleagues within the system to support change management and delivery of transformational projects.
  • Develop and promote system wide working to share best practice across the wider healthcare system.
  • Coordinate project meetings - co-ordinating meetings, agendas, chairs briefing, leading the format of the meeting whilst also contributing and assisting in the implementation of key work programmes.
  • Undertake stakeholder/service mapping and analysis that underpins the needs of the work programme and change management needs and preferences.
  • Work within an environment where there may be significant barriers and resistance to change.
  • Identify and create plans to mitigate and overcome risks, issues and barriers to change.
  • Provide leadership and knowledge to members on change management issues.
  • Understand and share information on commissioning and finance that may support the delivery of the ME-5 Pathology network programme.
  • Keep abreast of key policy service developments and service improvement techniques.
  • Develop business cases and financial plans necessary for specific service improvement projects.
Requirements:
