  • Delivering the Workforce Strategy
  • Providing a comprehensive professional and high-quality HR service which includes case management, workforce engagement plans, workforce health and well-being, absence management and leadership coaching and development.
  • Supporting service delivery and workforce transformation
Duties:
  • Deputise for the Human Resources Business Partner as required.
  • Contribute to Corporate Human Resources activities including assisting and leading in review and development of Human Resource Policy.
  • Coach and develop line managers at all levels throughout the organisation to effectively fulfil their people responsibilities.
  • Support the Human Resources Business Partner with advising and supporting managers on KSF, Performance Development, Talent Management and Succession Planning processes.
  • Take responsibility for overseeing the effectiveness of the HR Case Database, including monitoring, and reporting on investigation reports and suspensions
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • CIPD or Equivalent Experience
  • Good understanding of HR best practice
  • Experience of dealing with a full range of complex employee relations and organizational change issues
  • Sound and up to date knowledge of employment law
  • Knowledge and understanding of key NHS issues including national and local policy drivers, and the modernisation agenda
  • Able to understand and interpret terms and conditions of employment
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality, data protection and information governance
  • Experience of HR practice in the NHS
  • Able to use HR databases and information systems
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to provide excellent management information as required
  • Proficient in the use of IT packages including Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to support the design, delivery and presentation of management development programmes for managers
  • Ability communicate and provide advice effectively to colleagues and managers at all levels
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal reasoning, presentation skills, influencing & persuasion skills.
  • Ability to analyse, review and write complex case reports
  • Can demonstrate the abilities necessary to be an effective team
  • member as well as the ability to work on own initiative
  • Good organisation skills and planning skills with the ability to manage a large workload in a pressurised environment
  • Evidence of using initiative and "thinking outside the box
  • Previous experience of policy review, development and implementation
  • Knowledge of the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) System
  • Project management abilities
