Job Description

We pride ourselves on being a champion of the young driver, giving them a safer, fairer and simpler option on their car insurance.As a DevOps engineer you would be working as part of our IT team and working on a day-to-day basis with our DevOps team.What about you

  • Passion for all things DevOps
  • Happy to work in a team environment and support our development team
  • Keen to improve CI / CD workflows by automating pipelines and streamlining processes
  • Looking for experience in supporting AWS based infrastructure
  • Keen to learn and develop DevOps skill set via training and qualifications
What we are looking for
  • Good knowledge of Amazon Web Services including Elastic Beanstalk, EC2 Instances, RDS databases and best security practices
  • Comfortable with Unix environments.
  • Understand of best practices around CI/CD
  • Proficiency with version control systems (e.g. git or SVN)
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with LAMP stack
  • Experience with CI / CD tools
  • Setup and run 3rd party security and penetration testing scans and reporting issues to the development team.
It would be great if you also have any of the following
  • Experience with Gitlab, Sentry and Cloudflare
  • Ansible, Terraform, Chef or other automation tools
What your day-to-day activities consist of
  • Manging services in Amazon Web Services using tools such as Elastic Beanstalk, EC2 Instances and RDS Databases
  • Reporting and diagnosing issues with services
  • Integrating the web teams to CI/CD
  • Writing scripts to aid the team with configuration and setup of test and local development environments.
  • Building/maintaining Docker images, containers and services
  • Research software/packages to improve productivity of teams and systems
  • Running security and penetration testing scans, reporting issues to web teams
The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.30pm.
