Job Description

St Peter’s Hospice at Home Team support patients who are in the last weeks of their life who want to be at home. The team works closely with families, community nursing teams and the wider hospice services to give the best care and support possible at this crucial time. Due to an expansion of the service we are recruiting for a number of Healthcare Assistant roles on both permanent and bank contracts.We are predominantly looking for Band 3 level roles; however we do have some development opportunities available in this team which would be offered on Band 2 whilst training and support is provided to reach Band 3.The roles require independent working in the community; applicants should have excellent communication skills and IT skills. You must be adaptable, reliable and highly organised in order to prioritise your workload effectively. Experience of working with people with long terms conditions or approaching the end of their life will be an advantage but no essential.The successful candidates will join a cohesive and friendly team who make a real difference to patients and their families at the most challenging time.
