Our 5 wet leisure centres are home to our swim school programme where we are current delivering swimming lessons for over 8000 swimmers, that range from Babies to Adultsand everyone in between! Our swimming programme is delivered in our range of swimming pools from 25m 6 Lane pools to Splash and Teaching pools and is delivered to swim England standard Reporting to the Aquatics Manager and working under a Level 2 swimmingTeacher, as a Assistant Swimming Teacher you will be supporting our swim school programme. You will be responsible for assisting planned swimming lessons for an arrange of ages and abilities to the swim England learn to swim programme. As an Assistant SwimmingTeacher, youll be surrounded by a friendly, supportive group of experts who are passionate about teaching people to swim, a life skill. As an Assistant Swimming Teacher you will be involved with the following: Assisting sessions according to the programmetimetable, ensuring classes commence and finish at the designated times Carry out various administrative tasks associated with the position, carrying out class registers and continuous assessment of pupils using handheld devices with the Lead of your Level2 Swimming Teacher Ensure all concerns of a child safeguarding nature are referred in a timely and appropriate manner, in accordance with Safeguarding policy Holds a ASA/Swim England Level 1 Is passionate about helping people of all ages and backgrounds tolearn to swim or become stronger, faster or more confident when swimming Good communication skills, including listening, questioning, and delivering effective feedback, and the ability to quickly build trust and rapport with customers, children, and theirparents Is able to adapt to lesson plans over time following on from training and support from your Level 2 Teacher Always looking out to seek out development opportunities and potential ideas to further improve the service we provide Working with customersin group and sometimes on a one-to-one basis to motivate and instruct them during their lessons.
