Job Description

Based in DE4 but nearer to Brassington than Matlock. We are in a rural location therefore your own transport will be essential.We can have two roles one for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter (ideally happy with basic electrical too and one for an Electrical Maintenance Fitter with some Mechanical experience. Initially 6am to 3pm rand 2pm to 10pm rolling shifts 5 days per week. Thiswill move to a Continental shift 4 on 4 off 12 hour shifts 6.30am to 6.30 pm and 6.30pm to 6.30am rotating.Working on a multitude of plant and equipment ranging from mills, kilns, dense phase conveyors including screws and elevators no two days are the same offering any prospective candidates variety, challenge and those occasional head scratching moments youwill be involved in a wide range of tasks and activities ensuring the business remains successful.The role is for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a bias towards Fitting, ideally level 2 minimum qualification with some heavy industrial or manufacturing experience but more importantly this would suit someone with a Fabricator bias and we cantrain you on whatever else you may need.The Role: Control downtime of plant and equipment by informing and educating production employees of routine preventative maintenance and monitor compliance. Locate the source of problems and provide the required intervention where applicable Remove and replace defective parts using various equipment as applicable i.e. hoists, cranes, hand power tools etc. Fabricate where required parts to undertake and facilitate safe repairs. Maintain a safe and clean operating environment at all times by complying with site policies, procedures and processes. Provide continued support and advice to management and colleagues.The Person:

  • Experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing or engineering setting would be highly advantageous but not a deal breaker.
  • A flexible and positive can-do attitude i.e. solution focused.
  • A conscientious team player who can act independently and add value to the Multi-skilled team.
