Job descriptionLocation: BramleyPay Rate £20.90 per hourTemp to Perm contractOvertime available at a time and a half12 hour shiftsREPORTING STRUCTUREThe Maintenance Fitter reports to the Maintenance Supervisor who in turn reports to the Engineering Manager.SHIFT PATTERNThe Maintenance Fitter will be based within the main factory workshop and will be required to work a 2 days and 2 nights a week (12 hour shifts) In total 14 days a month. For further information on exact shift patterns please contact us.JOB PURPOSETo work effectively as a member of a team that is responsible for work processes which deliver high quality products or services to both internal and external customers.Responsible for the maintenance of plant and equipment to ensure that production is maintained and operates safely.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInstall, repair, and maintain components of industrial equipment.Operate and maintain a range of machinery, in order to produce high quality work, within high efficiency standards.Work effectively alone or with team members/leaders and other members of staff to accomplish organisational goals.Analyse problems and identify cause-effect relationships.Communicate and express ideas effectively in individual and group situations.Participate in all mandatory training.Adhere at all times to all Company Policies, including but not limited to Quality, Health & Safety etc.Ensure that good housekeeping principles are maintained at all time.Perform other duties as assigned or as defined by position responsibilities.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREDKnowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic & mechanical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.Awareness of national codes and regulations.Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.An effective Maintenance Fitter must be mechanically minded and will, preferably, have a background in the manufacturing industry and have technical and or professional qualification in Mechanical engineering. You must have a basic secondary education andbe proficient in Maths and English.
