Job Description

Job Title: Machine Service SpecialistBusiness Area/Department: ProductionReports to: Engineering ManagerWe are looking to recruit a Machine Service Specialist to work in a busy production environment, experience would be preferred but training may be considered for the appropriate candidate.Job SummaryWorking shift pattern: Sat, Sun, and Mon (Day shift 07:00- 19:00) orFri, Sat, and Sun (Night shift 19:00- 07:00)Responsible for servicing enclosing machinery and other types of machinery associated to Bristol Production Area.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain enclosing machinery, and any piece of production associated equipment, Vantage, Cutters, Strapping machines, ECT
  • Maintain proper administration of parts usage and parts re location, ensuring the machine service tracker is updated
  • Assist with Bench work (Off-line repairs to broken machine parts) at appropriate times
  • When called upon effect repairs to mailing machines and associated equipment where necessary, such as mechanical fault repairs
  • To keep the work area clean and tidy at all times and comply with health and safety regulation
  • Liaise with Engineering Manager on machine performance, problems and improvements.
  • To be pro-active at all times to help maximize productivity
  • Highlight and bring to Managers attention any exposure or risk for the department or business
  • Ensure a clear and precise handover is given to the oncoming team members
  • Any other reasonable responsibility given to you by your manager.
Skills / Experience
  • Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of mechanical principles & processes
  • Ability to follow service documentation
  • Understanding of "Tolerances, fits and corresponding requirements"
  • Can work as part of a team
  • Proactive in offering improvements to current processes
