Job Description

A growing, fast-paced organisation based in North Bradford are recruiting a Warehouse Operations Project Manager to join as part of the management team. This is a 2 year FTC contract to establish a new operation that requires new processes and procedures to drive efficiencies and operational performance that meet the needs of the business.The role will lead individual teams through change, so the successful person will need to have proven experience creating and leading projects from creation to completion, while driving and coaching a team.You will need to be a proven influencer, seeking to improve the behaviour of others to achieve the operational performance targets that will bring success. The role will be responsible for designing the warehouse and its layout to optimise material handling and flow, and its SOPs, Health & Safety and KPI development with systems. This is a great opportunity to work for a business that will provide autonomy and influence decisive actions that add value throughout the operation. The Warehouse Operations Project Manager will also be responsible for:* Undertake a wholesale review of the entire business systems from start to finish, highlighting areas for improvements, then own and drive the change.* Develop and deliver a strategic review of the warehouse operation and incorporate a continuous improvement strategy.* Identify opportunities to deliver improvements to health and safety, quality, cost and service.* Utilise Value Stream Mapping and coordinate with supply chain and operations to establish process improvements.* Liaise with the Senior Management teams to identify and achieve pre-determined target savings.* Develop & deliver integrated processes to achieve optimal business performance.* Provide leadership required to develop and maintain consistent conformance to operating, quality, safety, security, and housekeeping procedures.* Be a leader, with a passion for supporting the development of people, whilst maintaining the commitment to improve business and operational performance.* Ability to build an end-to-end supply chain and procurement functions that are synonymous with outstanding customer service, operational excellence and optimal profitability.Background: * Experienced in the deployment of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies in supply chain* Proven practical application and development of Quality / Lean tools in warehousing environments* Able to demonstrate knowledge of managing change in a challenging environment* You will be process orientated, with a track record of implementing process improvements and controls within a supply chain environment* You will have experience of working closely with clients and developing effective working relationships* You must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, in order to optimise site performance* Have management experience with leading a team across Material Handling, Warehousing and Distribution* Have experience working in a manufacturing and/or supply chain environment* Be competent in the use of Excel to an advanced level for reporting purposes* Have experience working with material and supply chain management in a manufacturing business* Have experience with lead change initiatives that drive best practice and performance improvement* Have led training on health & safety, SOP and warehouse management systemsSalary:* £45,000 - £50,000 + Benefits* 2 year fixed term contractTo find out more and apply please send your CV to Carl Walker.Elevation Recruitment Groups Procurement and Supply Chain division work with a vast range of businesses across Yorkshire and Humberside, Lincolnshire and East Midlands regions.
