Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for websites, mobile apps, and other digital products.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and marketers to ensure user-centered design.
  3. Work closely with the development team to ensure efficient implementation of user-centered design principles.
  4. Develop user journey maps to inform design decisions.
  5. Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs aligned with Yorkshire Waters brand and style guidelines.
  6. Conduct usability testing and iterate designs based on feedback.
  7. Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems, style guides, and other design documentation to ensure consistency and quality across products.
Skills Required:
  1. Proficiency in Figma for designing and prototyping.
  2. Experience with user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  3. Strong understanding of design fundamentals including typography, color theory, and layout.
  4. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  5. Experience conducting usability testing and incorporating feedback into design iterations.
  6. Familiarity with design systems and style guides.
  7. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  8. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality design solutions.
Note: The UX Designer will utilize Yorkshire Waters in-house prototyping kit tied into the Fluid UI component library to streamline design processes and ensure consistency across products.
