Job Description

Job Title: Transport Manager - National and InternationalLocation: Bradford, West YorkshireSalary: £18,000 to £22,000 per annumJob Type: Full Time, Permanent (Monday to Thursday 09.00 am - 17.30 pm. Fridays are 09.00 am to 17.00 pm)The company was founded in 1998 and has consistently achieved steady growth in the UK, Europe and across the world. They sell their products in over 100 countries and across 5 continents. They have a diverse team of multilingual professionals winning exceptional sales globally.Main Duties:

  • Plan and supervise the shipments from production to the end-user
  • Schedule daily and weekly routes
  • Track orders using functional systems
  • Coordinate with Warehouse assistant to ensure proper storage and distribution of products
  • Monitor and report on transportation costs
  • Ensure shipping documents are properly filed
  • Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles and equipment
  • Research and suggest cost-effective shipping methods
  • Conduct regular safety audits on equipment
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping legislation
  • Stay up-to-date with safety regulations
  • Update salespersons with the status of their orders
  • Connect with cargo companies if any delivery gets late or undelivered
  • Will act as a coordination bridge between Sales and Production unit
  • Helping Sales in knowing lead time from the production unit
    • Candidate Requirements:
  • Proven work experience as a Transportation Manager or similar role
  • Solid knowledge of supply chain management
  • Experience preparing and tracking orders
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to supervise and train staff
  • Problem-solving abilities
