Job Description

We are a FTSE 250 Company employing over 3,000 staff throughout the UK and Ireland.Provident delivers non-standard lending through our businesses - Vanquis Bank, Provident Home Credit, Satsuma Loans, Moneybarn and Cheque Exchange.About the role:We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Group Transformation function who will play a key role working directly with our Programme Directors to directly support the delivery of large, complex Programmes. The Programmes are likely to be of a Transformational or Organisational Change nature that will require working across Group and a multi-divisional structure. This Role will require a senior, experienced individual that will use their experience, knowledge and flair to add value to the development of a large scale programme.Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, define, organise and plan a large Transformational Programme.
  • Work with the business leaders to define the scope and options to deliver the required outcomes; takes all requirements into account when considering options.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with peers, stakeholders and the wider business to ensure engagement, support & delivery of the Programmes desired outcomes and therefore its benefits and vision.
  • Demonstrate creativity, innovation and ethical thinking in applying solutions.
  • Ensure that the impact of any change being proposed by the Programme is considered and an appropriate change management approach is developed that will contribute to a healthy change experience.
  • Be an ambassador for Group Transformation and contributes to further maturing of the function.
  • Write the business case in conjunction with business leaders and Programme Director that includes, but is not limited to high level costs, resource requirements and identification
  • Ensure that all risks, issues and dependencies associated to the Programme are properly documented, reported and actively managed, proposing appropriate actions and accompanied by effective communication throughout the process.
  • The skills and experience you will have:
  • Significant experience of delivering Projects in a senior project manager role.
  • Strong background of building, managing and influencing diverse relationships across a business.
  • Being able to influence and challenge effectively at a senior level.
  • Experience operating in a challenging organisational environment with a requirement to balance different priorities and demands.
  • Able to work under own initiative, with minimal supervision and a rigorous attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership, management & communication skills.
  • A strong academic record preferably to degree level, or equivalent work experience.
  • Project Management qualification (one or more of Prince2, PMI, Agile Project Management).
  • Highly proficient in standard Microsoft Office applications as well as Microsoft Project.
  • Experience working with SharePoint / Microsoft Teams.
  • Desirable skills and experience, but not essential:
  • Understand the requirements of an FCA regulated business
  • Detailed knowledge and experience within the Financial Services sector
