Job Description

The People of: Ecommerce are recruiting for a talented and commercial senior perfoamnce marketing manager to join a leading online retailer based in West Yorkshire. This role is quite unique as it will be the digital director’s number 2, yet oversee management of three small teams:

  • Performance Marketing
  • Trading
  • Analytics
  • Therefore, team management experience is essential as well is excellent stakeholder management, high level strategic knowledge over performance marketing, trading and analytics. They are all real team players, relentless in delivery, customer obsessed and have a passion for what they do. Responsibilities include:
  • Lead and manage the budgeting and forecasting process with ownership for delivery of the demand plan
  • Drive commercial performance across all categories on the website (Trading), with support from dedicated trading manager
  • Own the digital acquisition strategy across all channels (PPC, Affiliates, Display, Social), with delivery support from in-house Digital Acquisition team
  • Plan and manage the multi-million-pound digital acquisition budget in conjunction with Digital Marketing Director & Digital Acquisition Manager to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency
  • Own and define the channel optimization strategy to ensure performance is aligned to key business / financial goals
  • Obsess about data! Use data and insight to identify areas of risk and opportunity across all areas of the business, including Product, Channels, website performance & customer
  • Define a market leading analytics and reporting suite which drives insight and action to enhance performance across all areas and teams - Product, Channel, Customer, Web
  • Management of the analytics team, transforming from a reporting function to an insight and action operation
  • Develop and own the marketing trading calendar, optimise regularly to achieve commercial targets
  • Regular feedback loop to senior management team on activity and performance, including recommendation and action plan to achieve KPI’s
  • Have a forensic understanding of the competition. You’ll know who’s good, who’s bad - and why
  • Have a good understanding of the digital marketing & technology landscape to identify new opportunities
  • Skills required:
  • 5 years Extensive experience working in a senior digital role, with previous hands on experience of channel management - PPC, Display, Affiliates, Paid Social
  • Team management and development experience
  • Highly analytical, commercial and action focused
  • Experience of Tableau / Power BI and other dash boarding tools
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Good presentation skills
