Job Description

JHE & Partners are working with a global business in Bradford who are looking for a reconciliations clerk / cashier on a permanent basis.This is an extremely fast-paced role working alongside a large team of credit controllers. This is a role that would favour someone working in a large business overseeing the reconciliations or someone working in a cashiering capacity, reconciling accountsand allocating cash.Duties include:

  • Scan cheques received from branches and customers, checking theyve been completed in full, ensuring amount and customer account number are correct
  • Transfer cheques to internal system using Excel
  • Allocate BACS, card payments and cheques to customer accounts, searching for remittances if required
  • Check any unallocated BACS are on the correct account and journal across as required and inform Banking team to re-map account details
  • Liaise with Banking team and bank to investigate cheque deposit discrepancies
  • Advise credit controllers of any unallocated receipts or bounced cheques
  • Check remittance email inbox, ensuring all emails have been saved to correct account numbers and any that have auto allocated are deleted
  • Daily upload of BACS receipts into the sales ledger and maintenance of customer data files to ensure accuracy of allocations
This is an excellent opportunity working in a stand-alone role working with other internal teams. Salary on offer is £24,000, working 37.5 hours and 22 days holiday + 8 stats.Please apply without delay to avoid disappointment.
