A leading logistics and warehousing business based in Bradford are recruiting a new role that requires a specialist supply chain professional who is experienced with Programme Management Workstreams within logistics and warehousing environments. The Warehouse Project Manager (Logistics and Warehousing) will have extensive experience working with IT systems relevant to a stock, warehouse, distribution and financial reporting as well as leading in operational projects not limited to, new processes, new warehouse configurations, etc.This is a great opportunity to work for a business that will provide autonomy and influence decisive actions that add value throughout the operation.The Project Manager will also be responsible for:* Identifying enhancements to materials and finished goods movement and storage* Redesigning existing warehouse to receive items/store items in an efficient layout* Identifying and defining new approaches and systems for inventory management* Optimising WMS systems to gain efficiencies in areas like put away rules, pick face relay based on SKU profiling, stock turn, heavy to light and stack ability* Defining optimal transportation routes applying advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience* Introducing changes to provide productivity gains and increase efficiency* Improving process, mentoring operational staff and training where required, developing the teams to work in efficient ways and comply with customer requirements in day to day customer and operational requirements* Understanding customer contracts, requirements, aligning process and training to ensure compliance of requirements and KPI reporting* Facilitating and engagement with stakeholders providing customer service and driving opportunities for service improvements and cost saving initiatives* Being a "vehicle of change" and comfortable working with all levels within the organisation, with the ability to question the status quo and be a strong communicator and facilitate regular cross- functional meetings with stakeholders* Training, coaching and motivating personnel in the understanding and adoption of new principles and techniques* Maintenance and creation of SOP, Work Instructions* Budget reporting and responsibility of project budget* Working towards agreed SMART objectivesBackground:* Experienced in the deployment of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies in supply chain* Proven practical application and development of Quality / Lean tools in warehousing environments* Able to demonstrate knowledge of managing change in a challenging environment* You will be process orientated, with a track record of implementing process improvements and controls within a supply chain environment* You will have experience of working closely with clients and developing effective working relationships* You must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, in order to optimise site performance* Have management experience with leading a team across Material Handling, Warehousing and Distribution* Have experience working in manufacturing and/or supply chain environment* Be competent in the use of Excel to an advanced level for reporting purposes* Have experience working with material and supply chain management in a manufacturing business* Have experience with lead change initiatives that drive best practice and performance improvement* Have led training on health & safety, SOP and warehouse management systemsSalary:* £45,000 - £50,000 + BenefitsTo find out more and apply please send your CV to Carl Walker.Elevation Recruitment Groups Procurement and Supply Chain division work with a vast range of businesses across Yorkshire and Humberside, Lincolnshire and East Midlands regions.
