Job Description

Pastoral Welfare Leader

  • Job Type: Full-time/Part Time
We are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Welfare Leader to work under the guidance of senior staff at one of our schools in Bradford. The role requires flexibility in response to the needs of pupils and their families, ensuring the provision of support for pupilbehaviour, welfare, and attendance. Day to day of the role:
  • Collaborate with Pastoral Intervention Mentors to develop and deliver preventative and early intervention strategies.
  • Make appropriate referrals to specialist services and agencies to support pupil welfare.
  • Assist in times of crisis by working with mentors to support pupils in regulating their behaviour.
  • Utilise TeamTeach and other strategies effectively to improve pupil behaviour and welfare.
  • Engage with pupils and their families to foster a supportive environment conducive to educational and personal development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a pastoral or welfare role within an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of behavioural management strategies, including TeamTeach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of services and agencies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with pupils and families.
  • Commitment to the welfare and development of pupils.
