Job Description

Youll taking the customer data and insights and marrying this with sales data, youre central to creating the opportunities for each customer business plan to achieve their profit potential across national accounts. Working closely with your Customers,Supply Chain, Product and Range youll ensure the right information is available at the right time to ensure the seamlessly delivery of product to store when its needed.Client DetailsA great opportunity for a Merchandiser to join a leading business in the Bradford area. As a Merchandiser youll manage all key financial Merchandising KPIs across Planning, Trading & Forecasting. A customer facing role you will maintain,develop and contribute to the profit plan for a specified area of responsibility and ensure all stakeholders have the right information, at the right time to facilitate right first-time decisions across product, finance and supply planningDescription

• Account planning including sales plans, customer budget and SKU level decision making activities
• Evaluating financial factors including assumptions and suitable contingency plans
• Forecasting across all elements whether total business, account, caption or line level
• Stock allocation requirements to deliver the customer plan whilst minimising stock exposure
• Top line trading analysis for forward planning and identifying risks & opportunities
• Facilitate the optimum range selection process through your analysis and insights
• Develop strong cross functional relationships to ensure all interventions / activities are delivered in the most effective & profitable way
• Drive efficiencies, improved ways of working and increased profit across your customer accounts

Profile

• Previous experience of working in a merchandising role or similar role within a Retail / FMCG business
• Excellent excel, numeric & analytical abilities to identify commercial insights relevant to our audience
• Youre a confident communicator, able to adjust their approach to varying audiences, marrying your strong presentation skills with your skilled use of data and insights
• Youre a people person, you take the time to build strong relationships, working with others to achieve shared objectives
• Your commercial acumen, using your knowledge and insights to engage and influence others, keeping profit growth at the core of decision making
• Youre organised, with a keen eye of the details, with experience of planning and forecasting sales across everyday & seasons
• A solid awareness of retail, and ideally our category, influences which are factored in to your decision making to mitigate risks to sales
