Job Description

We are a FTSE 250 Company employing over 3,000 staff throughout the UK and Ireland.Provident delivers non-standard lending through our businesses - Vanquis Bank, Provident Home Credit, Satsuma Loans, Moneybarn and Cheque Exchange.About the role:We have an exciting new opportunity within both our Bradford and London offices for a HR Business Partner to join our Group HR team who will work in partnership with the Head of HR and Corporate office to devise a HR agenda to support the achievement of business strategy, drive business performance, colleague capability and engagement.This role will Business partner the senior leadership team, providing advice and guidance on all HR matters. In addition, will support the successful implementation and embedding of Group strategic projects, including the Group Talent & Succession Planning process, Group Performance Management process and driving the Groups Inclusion & Diversity and Wellbeing Strategy.Some key responsibilities include:

  • Develop strong working relationships with line managers, providing sound advice and guidance on all HR matters including but not limited to employee relations, HR policy and process, culture and engagement.
  • Challenge, coach and support Managers with practical resolution of employee relation matters including grievance, disciplinary, performance and absence management
  • Produce/analyse relevant MI and be able to identify trends and patterns and use this to inform a course of action/advice
  • Work with our policy team to act as the eyes and ears of corporate office to ensure that HR solutions developed are fit for purpose and meet the customers needs,
  • Provide support on key strategic Group HR projects, partnering with stakeholders to achieve business objectives
  • Take the lead on the annual Employee Engagement Survey, supporting the business areas in understanding their results and develop engagement action plans.
  • Facilitate leadership discussions on talent, ensure talent is attracted and retained and robust succession plans are in place
  • Identify people capability required to meet short term and longer term business needs, embed PDPs and Talent Reviews.
  • The skills and experience you will have:
  • Proven HR generalist experience at a mid-senior level of 3-5 years is expected, ideally within a HR shared service/established business partnering model.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing Employee Relations matters commercially and sensitively.
  • Experience of leading transformation and change.
  • Knowledgeable on HR policy and practice and employment legislation.
  • Experience of key HR business cycles, performance management, talent & succession planning, reward review etc.
  • Building colleague capability and Developing individuals and teams through coaching/mentoring.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels
  • Ability to influence and challenge constructively, particularly at Director and Head of Function level
