Job Description

Provident delivers non-standard lending through our businesses - Vanquis Bank, Provident Home Credit, Satsuma Loans, Moneybarn and Cheque Exchange and we pride ourselves.About the role: We have an exciting new opportunity within our PF Group HR team for a HR Assistant who will provide comprehensive and efficient administration support to the Group ER & Policy and HR Business Partnering Teams.You will play a key role in supporting the HR Business Partners in cyclical HR processes, such as performance management and talent, and assisting the ER and Policy Senior Manager with ER case management and oversight across the Group. Key responsibilities include:

  • First point of contact for administrative and straightforward HR Policy queries.
  • Support in the writing of Group Policies and coordinating inputs from the divisions.
  • Administration of HR Policy suite, ensuring the pages are kept up to date.
  • Maintain employee information in the HR systems.
  • Support the business in providing a proactive, responsive and professional HR service.
  • Setting up and management of shared inboxes, where appropriate.
  • Responsible for HR and ER MI reporting.
  • Providing support to the Legal team in the defence of claims against the company by providing case documentation and information, if appropriate.
  • Support the HR Business Partner team in cyclical HR processes, though the production of packs for Performance Management to support Calibration, Talent reports and Engagement results reports.
  • Team co-ordination of meetings/huddles, and Colleague Forum meetings.
  • Takes ownership of working with the Colleague reps and divisional Business Partner teams, to producing the Agenda for Colleague Forums.
  • May work on HR projects and other activities as directed by the ER and Policy Senior Manager.
  • The skills and experience you will have:
  • Previous experience of working as a HR Administrator or HR Assistant
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Good understanding of HR policies and procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Competent user of MS Word, Excel & Powerpoint
  • Understanding of HR Systems
  • Basic knowledge of Employment Law
  • Integrity, confidentiality and discretion
  • Desirable skills and experience, but not essential:
  • Experience of working in the financial services sector
  • Understand the requirements of an FCA regulated business
  • Experience of working in a change environment
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification
