Job Description

Calder C.A.D. needs Groundworkers to join their team, working on drainage, concreting, kerbing and flagging.You will be joining one of Yorkshires most successful providers of road surfacing, civil engineering and ground works.Groundworker£15 - £19 per hour, dependent on experienceFull Time, Permanent RoleTraining ProvidedBradford, BD4 7AHCalder C.A.D. Ltd have been established since 1988, delivering excellence and high quality in all aspects of road surfacing, civil engineering and ground works. Our client base ranges from local authority to the private sectorWe are looking for Groundworkers to join our team.The RoleA Groundworker prepares the land ready for building.The main duties of a Groundworker are as follows:

  • Preparing each site for building with barriers and safety signs.
  • Draining (removing sewage water by flow or pumping).
  • Laying foundations.
  • Concreting.
  • Kerbing and flagging (laying kerbs and flag stones).
Key Responsibilities
  • Undertaking all relevant risk and method statements. This is the logo as it will appear on your branded landing page
  • Using best safe practices on all tasks.
  • Carrying out thorough checks on all equipment.
  • Ensuring a tidy place of work.
  • Ensuring all work is completed on time.
  • Communicating with site management.
  • Communicating with your site supervisor on any health and safety concerns.
  • Feeding back to site management with any near miss/ close call reporting.
  • Attending all site briefings, forums and toolbox talks.
