Job Description

Page Personnel have partnered with an organisation in the Higher Education (HE) sector on an exclusive basis with an opportunity to join their Finance Department as a Finance Business Partner. This permanent vacancy is varied, progressive and an ideal opportunity for a part-qualified or finalist accountant to develop their existing experience and qualify.Client DetailsThis opportunity sits within the established Finance Department at a HE organisation in the Bradford area. Reporting into an ACCA qualified Senior Finance Business Partner and working closely with a number of ACCA, CIMA and ACA qualified accountants, the successful candidate will be extremely well supported and thus able to develop their skill set, experience and knowledge.DescriptionDuties will include providing a strategic financial guidance to an allocated faculty, supporting the Senior Finance Business Partner, and business partnering with stakeholders at all levels. The role holder will be responsible for supporting the production of a 5-year financial plan, as well as annual budget setting and quarterly re-forecasting. The role will also involve producing a monthly set of management accounts, managing grant funding, and ad-hoc projects including capital.ProfileCandidates wishing to make an application should:

  • Be working in a relevant finance role, e.g. Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner, Assistant Accountant, Finance Manager, etc.
  • Have an excellent computer literacy including a working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Have great communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Be able to translate financial reports to stakeholders at all levels
    • The following criteria are advantageous but are not essential:
  • External grant funding experience
  • Education experience, in particular HE
  • Working towards an accountancy qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
