Job Description

We are a FTSE 250 Company employing over 3,000 staff throughout the UK and Ireland.Provident delivers non-standard lending through our businesses - Vanquis Bank, Provident Home Credit, Satsuma Loans, Moneybarn and Cheque Exchange.About the role:The role of the End User Computing Specialist (3rd Line) is to proactively support and maintain the end user computing experience for all users by ensuring all logged incidents, service requests, problems, and changes are managed effectively to resolution, in adherence with strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that have been escalated from the 2nd Line End User Computing Team or assigned directly. In addition to this the role will also include project deliverables.Key responsibilities include, but not limited:

  • End User Infrastructure support for all head office and field based users.
  • Incident, SR, Change and PR investigation and resolution in line with SLA and relevant policies.
  • Assure the preparation for, and smooth transition of, new projects into the team.
  • Engage with and support other teams in the business offering Technical support and consultancy within the EUC support structure
  • With a focus on delivering quality service at the core of our ethos, the End User Computing Specialist will maintain a high-quality work ethic and consistent performance standards, in line with key performance indicators and organisational SLA requirements within a service orientated IT structure.
  • Promote and demonstrate professional behavior and attitudes including but not limited to customer and service support ethos across the Business.
  • Engage and maintain effective root cause analysis for appropriate incident and problem cases, making and documenting recommendations and solutions. Actively record, report and raise incidents and problem tickets where applicable when issues and faults are identified as part of daily checks and active monitoring.
  • The skills and experience you will have:
  • You will bring the experience of working on enterprise scale projects from design stage through to operational delivery with a focus on quality and business benefits within a service orientated IT structure.
  • Demonstrate ability and understanding of a wide range of End User Computing and Collaboration technologies and market development within that space.
  • Significant in-depth knowledge of Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) including application packaging, deployment, patching and reporting
  • An understanding of other Microsoft Technologies including Microsoft Intune and Office 365
  • Operating System Deployment (OSD) and troubleshooting experience
  • Strong Windows administrator experience i.e. AD/Group Policy/DNS/DHCP/
  • Experience of root cause analysis and problem management on a range of EUC infrastructures.
  • Demonstrate grounding in understanding their business customers and above all else delivering quality and consistency in BAU and project work.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of MDM products (VMware/Microsoft) through Modern Management Frameworks
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills, all mediums.
  • Strong discipline for creation of technical and process documentation, frameworks and working to defined build standards and templates.
  • ITIL Background, firm understanding of ITIL practices, incident, service, change, problem and release management.
