Job Description

Digital Marketing Executive (In-House)

As an independently owned company specialising in a number of niche yet highly diverse markets, the year on year growth of the business can be attributed to their focus on not only exceeding customer expectations but its innovative and forward-thinking approach to the market and the changing needs/shopping habits of their customers. As a result of organic growth and the addition of a new brand within the group, they now wish to bring their marketing function in-house. This is a unique opportunity for a creative Digital Marketing Executive who will contribute towards our client’s overall marketing strategy.THE OPPORTUNITYWe have been asked to identify an individual who is seeking a new challenge and is invested in significantly developing their digital marketing career. The successful candidate will have a passion for marketing strategy and brand building for new and existing ventures within the group. You will be responsible for developing integrated digital marketing campaigns to promote our client’s brand story as well as their products and services, with the objective being to grow their customer base and increase conversions.Working closely with the Director and the wider team across the business (including an offshore team), you will be involved in developing a cross-platform strategy with the responsibility of maintaining a positive and proactive online presence for the businesses operating within the group.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Creating and executing a coherent and effective cross-platform marketing strategy and ensuring this evolves in line with the fast-paced online environment
  • Producing and managing the design and delivery of creative and effective sales focused campaigns, in line with business growth
  • Undertaking ongoing reviews and improvements on all campaigns
  • Identifying target customer groups who are most likely to become sales leads
  • Delivering effective Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns on various platforms to generate interest from targeted customers
  • Liaising with customers directly on each platform to encourage reviews and feedback
  • Providing analysis to ensure the marketing budget is allocated efficiently and effectively
  • Gaining an in-depth knowledge of the product and service offering to deliver effective campaigns
  • Managing customer communication across all platforms with the support of customer service colleagues
  • Analysing, preparing, and delivering monthly reports for all marketing activity MI and KPI’s to demonstrate effective Return on Investment (ROI)
  • Writing creative and informative copy and uploading content to the relevant websites and sales platforms
  • Managing social media updates, activity and growth on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest
  • CANDIDATE BRIEFOur ideal candidate will have gained exposure in a digital marketing function, be that in-house or agency, and will now be searching for a new challenge in which their contribution will have significant value and enable them to further develop their career, and of course our client’s business. This is very much a hands-on role and will require a dedicated and enthusiastic approach to what is a new role within the organisation.We are searching for candidates who:
  • Have a marketing related degree, ideally with a focus on digital marketing
  • Have gained 1-2 years relevant digital marketing experience (in-house or agency) with a demonstrable and successful track record (this may include a placement year)
  • Are excellent communicators, both verbally and written, with an ability to build excellent rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Will suggest new ideas and recognise the value they add to the wider business
  • Have a confident and enthusiastic personality, with a forward-thinking attitude
  • Are highly organised, with the ability to multi-task
  • Are strong team players, whilst able to take direction and produce results independently
  • Are computer literate with an understanding of relevant marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp, CMS & Hootsuite)
  • Are creative and have an eye for design (experience using InDesign or Photoshop would be advantageous)
  • SEO, PPC, Google Analytics and AdWords experience
  • A knowledge of HTML, CSS, WordPress, and eBay would be desirable
