Job Description

We are a FTSE 250 Company employing 3,700 staff throughout the UK and Ireland.Provident delivers non-standard lending through our businesses - Vanquis Bank, Provident Home Credit, Satsuma Loans, Moneybarn and Cheque Exchange.About the role:In this role you will be the dedicated Business Analyst for the Credit Systems change portfolio. Working with business stakeholders at all levels you will analyse, document and manage business requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle, ensuring traceability of agreed requirements through delivery of new processes and/or system solutions. You will build a great understanding of internal and third party credit systems in order to deliver high quality analysis and support project and BAU delivery. You will also contribute toward continuous improvement and development within the Business Analysis community.Key Responsibilities:

  • Discover, analyse and understand the true business need and determine the business objective.
  • Establish in depth understanding of the reasons to complete a particular change, and the impacts (POPIT).
  • Define and understand the impact of change to the business and its key stakeholders.
  • Elicit business requirements using a catalogue of business analysis tools and techniques.
  • Define As Is Processes, and model To Be Business Processes.
  • Adhere to the defined change, and Business Analysis lifecycle, producing the relevant documentation required to a high standard.
  • Skills & Experience you will ideally have:
  • Previous experience of working on Credit Systems/Credit Decisioning, either as a Business Analyst or in a different role.
  • Significant experience as a Business Analyst within a corporate function ideally within a regulated industry.
  • Good understanding and experience of Business Analysis frameworks, business processes management, business requirements and experience of different SDLC methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to interpret complex data.
  • Highly developed communication skills.
  • Good commercial acumen.
  • Ability to diagnose problems, and root causes.
  • Competence to advise and influence key decision makers.
