The Provident Financial Group is made up of Provident Home Credit, Satsuma Loans, Vanquis Bank, Cheque Exchange and Moneybarn.About the Role:As part of the management accounts team this role involves the preparation of accurate and timely information for senior management and Finance Director, namely monthly expenses, cost centre reporting, reconciliations, fixed assets, salaries, balance sheets and monthly accounting packs and other associated and supporting information, ensuring integrity and accuracy of reported information throughout; maintaining an accurate financial ledger system. Assist in the administration, maintenance and reporting of credit card transactionsSome Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure our customers are at the heart of everything we do and our actions enhance our customer relationship
  • Responsible for the delivery of team objectives
  • Ensure work is delivered in line with SLAs and agreed targets
  • Ensure business policy and processes reflect current practices and are adhered to
  • Provides operational and specialist insight to drive continuous improvement
  • Identify risks and provide proposals for potential solutions, balancing risk with business needs
  • Provision of accurate information in line with accounting policies set out in the PF Accounting Policies and Procedure Manual
  • Provision of accurate cost centre reporting
  • Provision of information in line with defined internal timetables
  • Maintain an accurate financial ledger system through correct journal posting and monthly reconciliations process
  • Processing of credit card transactions, invoices, expense claims, purchase orders are on a timely basis
  • Credit card authorisation occurs in line with expenses policy, sign off limits and bank mandates, and coding is accurate
  • Essential:
  • Strong mathematical capabilities
  • Good communication skills and the ability to communicate with colleagues up to manager level
  • Ability to challenge constructively, particularly at Manager level
  • Able to work on familiar tasks with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail
  • Basic application of accounting standards and principles under IFRS
  • PC Literacy to include middle management level MS Excel
  • Qualifications:Essential:
  • AAT qualified or part qualified
