Job Description

Dealership Assistant Accountant-Busy Main Dealer in Bradford

  • Basic Salary up to £30,000.00 dependent on experience
  • Bonus available.
  • 33 Days Annual Leave including Bank Holidays
  • Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays for business needs.
Our client is a a busy main dealer in Bradford. They are now looking to add an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate will have experience of previous dealership or general assistant accountancy experience in a similarrole.Responsibilities of an Assistant Accountant:
  • Supervising Accounts teams for daily task completion
  • Handling VAT return and audit-related tasks
  • Assisting in preparing monthly accounts
  • Reconciling manufacturer key accounts
  • Monitoring sales and purchase ledgers for month-end close
  • Ensuring a comprehensive check and balance in the payment process
  • Managing accruals, prepayments, and various balance sheet accounts
  • Handling intercompany account reconciliations
Requirements of an Assistant Accountant:
  • Accounting Qualification (AAT or Similar)
  • Motor Trade Experience
  • Experience of bank reconciliations and postings
  • Working knowledge of Kerridge or ADP Autoline is desirable.
  • Experience of overseeing accounts processes
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
