Job Description

Our client is now looking for an Account Manager to join their busy team in Bradford!Growth fuels opportunity for individuals with the right mind set, drive and determination to make a material difference. This is where you come in.....As a Product/Account Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic direction for product categories within your specified retail customer base while developing and delivering sustainable sales and profit growth. Including conducting market research,product and price point positioning and driving product categories through all channels of distribution, you will be responsible for single and multiple product categories.Salary: £25,000-£28,000k plus discretionary annual bonusAccount Manager Duties:

  • Conduct market research and compile information for trend analysis in product categories.
  • Gather intelligence on competitive product, pricing and promotion and compile analysis in each product category.
  • Establish key contacts within customers to enhance market research/market intelligence collection.
  • Maximising sales and margin opportunities.
  • Account management of existing and new accounts.
  • Validate product strategy and conduct product presentations.
  • Establish product strategies to ensure product placement through all channels of distribution.
  • SKU management: generate recommendations for new product additions and product deletions.
  • Create new product positioning and establish recommended price points.
  • Identify promotional opportunities needed to balance product sales to manufacturing capacities.
  • Active involvement in making product presentations to major customers and prospects.
  • Identification of sell-in and sell-on sales opportunities with existing and new customers.
  • Establish a working relationship with all internal customers (i.e. Product Development, Marketing, Distributors, Manufacturers etc.).
  • Attend and participate at National and Regional Conventions/Shows.
  • Travel may be required.
Account Manager Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience and working knowledge of the flooring industry, competitive challenges and categories.
  • Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in the following areas: Microsoft Office Suite (inc strong Excel skills).
  • Previous project management experience in a cross-functional environment is required. Involving successfully organizing, planning, and executing projects from vision through implementation while fostering team collaboration and task commitment.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills necessary to effectively exercise tact, discretion, judgement and diplomacy when interacting and/or negotiating with all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to manage/implement projects and contributes to concept development, and ability to identify, analyze and resolve business issues through solution-oriented projects.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret/adapt system procedures or operating concepts to fit new situations.
  • Ability to conceptualize, organize and execute new initiatives.
  • Proven account management skills.
  • Strong sales track record.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, willing to take the initiative.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in order to deliver desired outcomes within allotted time frames.
