We are recruiting an Electrical/Electronics Engineer to provide technical support to the clients manufacturing partners and within the organisation to aid the introduction of new products with a focus on safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people. You will be working within a collaborative and high performing project team where you will execute individual projects meeting fit, form and function including achieving critical milestones.As Electrical/Electronics Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities.• To lead the review and update component and design documentation to facilitate manufacturing transfer.• To assist with defining electro-mechanical sub assembly specification & test documentation taking account of general and health and safety regulation requirements.• To execute value engineering / component transfer activities by the use of structured review methods and recognised improvement techniques.• Support electronic assembly validation through testing and documentation• To review and develop supplier proposals to support project objectives. Including the presentation of value engineering recommendations, project plans, schedules and status reports verbally and in presentations to the operations department.• To provide engineering support to suppliers, purchasing, quality engineering and manufacturing, acting as subject matter expert in a range of subjects. • To action, and act as subject matter expert, engineering change including creation and gaining approval of appropriate documentation, and maintenance of quality records.• To define, plan, action and report on validation & verification activities to support engineering change.• To monitor and review ongoing work to ensure targets are met.• Support the ongoing compliance with all regulatory and quality system requirements, including risk management procedures.• To review and update manufacturing documentation (e.g.: Manufacturing & test procedures, Bills of Material, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, jig & equipment documentation.The successful candidate will have aHNC/D or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. You will have experience of working with global suppliers and manufacturers to develop, improve and transfer Printed Circuit Board Assemblies, wiring looms and electro-mechanical assemblies. You will have a broad electronics background with a bias towards manufacturing. You will be able to interpret electronic circuits to determine the suitability of alternative components and suggest design improvements. You will have knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes and able to contribute to Design for Manufacture, Design for Assembly and Design for Test analysis.You will have experience of working with suppliers on value engineering or supplier transfer projects, ability to plan and organise, to adapt to changing circumstances and deliver on targets. You will be able to communicate with all levels in the company verbally and through reports and presentations. Able to interpret data and present a business summary. Computer literate: Ability to use current computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and e-mail applications, as part of daily work. Required skills
